Last weekend I took a class on making photo transfers. very cool stuff. So of course I ran out and bought myself some gel medium, printed some photos, and spread out on the dining room table. Now when I’ve got my art supplies out, Chris will tell Erin not to touch Mommy’s stuff, to leave [...] and I’m in the mood for… framing some art! After having the month of January off (just couldn’t pull my piece together in time due to those pesky holidays!), I’m showing again in February’s Second Saturday show at Vox! Me and an intimate group of 35 artists! And you guessed it – the theme is “love”. [...] No, this has nothing to do with the new senator in Massachusetts. I’m talking about my brain! The right hemisphere has taken over and I am creating like a demon! As I mentioned, I’m not taking a computer programming class this semester. And apparently dropping that Rails class threw a switch in my brain! Not only [...] miles and miles and miles of art… or at least a couple 6×6 inch tiles! I’ve broken out the Mod Podge, stamps, and tissue paper and have been creating. It feels good to get out from behind the camera for awhile and make something with my hands. ”I cooking.” as promised – information about my upcoming show at Vox Sacramento next month! |
